Description:

Counts as a dagger for purposes of weapon proficiencies. Possesses all the same values of a Normal sized Dagger except as noted below:

-2 to attack (due to it’s unique design).

+2 to Heal checks made while wielding (it doesn’t make any SENSE!)

Upon successfully dealing damage to an opponent, applies a -1 penalty to attack, damage and Dexterity-based skill checks for 1d4 days. Effect does not stack.

Will evolve and gain power as the wielder gains Artificer levels. (Evolution occurs every 3 lvls).

Level 3

Counts as a +1 Dagger. Possesses all the same values of a Normal sized Dagger except as noted below:

Damage: 1d6 (Slashing)

+4 to Heal checks made while wielding(Still no sense!)

Upon successfully dealing damage to an opponent, applies a -1 penalty to attack, damage and Dex-based skill checks 1 day/character level. Effect does not stack.

Bio:

This scalpel has a very long, and very brutal history. Unfortunately, the man who helped it make that history, and therefore the only person who could recite it, died. But it’s days of cutting flesh and revealing the secrets beneath are not over, now that it rests in the hands of the Warforged.

(Yes, I’m aware that the image is not that of a scalpel, that’s kinda the point!)

First Evolution: Having spent more time with the strange blade, you’ve come to get a feel for it’s unique finesse and versatility. It’s easier to wield in combat now, and shows promise for causing harmful and lasting wounds upon the flesh it cuts.
